About the Series:
Created by Marv Wolfman, The Vigilante was one of DC’s most grounded and gritty titles of the 1980s. The series follows Adrian Chase, a New York District Attorney who turns vigilante after his family’s murder. As Chase fights crime outside the law, he descends into a darker psychological struggle, questioning whether justice can exist without morality.
Running for 50 issues, The Vigilante (1983–1988) blends crime noir, action, and psychological drama, predating DC’s later mature-reader approach found in titles like The Question and Watchmen.
About These Issues:
-
#10 (1984): Marv Wolfman-scripted issue; Adrian Chase faces the moral cost of vengeance.
-
